2013 Cherokee County Jr. Hay Judging Contest Results

Congratulations to Christian Holman from the Rusk Chapter of the FFA and Todd Duplichain from the Cloverleaf 4-H Club of Alto for their performance in the 2013 Hay Judging Competition.  Both kids secured the High-Point Individual score in their respective divisions.  In recognition of their hard work, each of these young kids will also be awarded a $1,000.00 collegiate scholarship provided by the Cherokee County Ag. Business Committee.

The top three teams in the FFA Division all came from Rusk FFA Chapter. While the top three teams in the 4-H Division came respectively from Wells 4-H of Wells and Footbridge 4-H of Rusk.

All six teams and high point individuals should plan to attend the
 2013 Cherokee County Hay Show where they will be recognized and awarded.
Event to be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 
at the County Showbarn in Jacksonville at 6 PM.


Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all who participated in and/or  supported this event.  A special thanks is due to all of the parents and teachers who coached these kids.
Also, an extra-special nod of appreciation goes out to the Ag. Business Committee of Cherokee County, without their support, there would be no funding for these scholarships.

The 2013 Cherokee County Jr. Hay Judging Competition will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Showbarn and Expo Center in Jacksonville.   Registration will begin at noon and competition will start no later than 1PM. 

4-H Managers, Judging Coaches and FFA Chapter Ad visors:  This year we would like to try to preregister as many teams as possible; therefore, if you have a concrete list of your teams, please email them to me before Thursday, October 10th.
